Intermittent eduroam connectivity issues 6/22/26 12:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, UK ITS updated security certificates for the eduroam wireless network across campus and UK HealthCare. Some wireless devices, particularly MacBooks/MacOS, iPhones/iOS, and Android, require a certificate refresh on the local device to reconnect to eduroam.

Key steps are outlined below to assist.

MacOS

Settings > General > Device management > Delete UKeduroam cert (requires local admin)

Then, to reconnect:

Settings > Wi-Fi > click connect on eduroam

Don't select a certificate in auth window pop up:

    Username: <linkblueID>@uky.edu

    Password: linkblue Password

Continue/trust new certificate

iOS

Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > Delete UKeduroamcert.

Settings > Wi-Fi > select eduroam
     Username: <linkblueID>@uky.edu

     Password: linkblue Password

Select “Trust” on the new certificate.
