The University of Kentucky has been selected as a final nominee for Excellence in Institution Success in Salesforce.org’s Summit Awards. The Summit Awards are given out annually to recognize schools, colleges, universities and departments that innovate for the better through their use of Salesforce constituent journeys.

The tournament will provide the opportunity for players to participate in a distinctive NBA 2K basketball experience on twitch.tv/universityofky, connecting and unifying the community. Those wishing to participate must register by Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

ITS Enhances Cybersecurity by Implementing 2nd Phase of Automatic Account Deprovisioning

University of Kentucky Information Technology Services (ITS) would like to inform all students, faculty and staff about the next phase in the Identity Management (IdM) Account Deprovisioning process. Starting April 14, ITS will turn on automatic account deprovisioning for students who are no longer enrolled at the University of Kentucky (e.g., graduated, transferred).

The University of Kentucky — along with its partner Gen.G — will continue its monthly esports speaker series, Cornerstone Commentary, with guest speaker Tom Kalinske, former CEO of Sega of America Inc. Kalinske will discuss his time with Mattel, the history of Sega vs. Nintendo and his work after the console wars of the 1990s.

UK hopes new Esports gaming lounge attracts future students

While gaming once was a solo activity, it’s grown to become a whole world of competitors, both online and in-person. University of Kentucky has invested thousands in a new Esports lounge on campus to grow with the times and hopefully attract future students. “It’s like a gaming wonderland,” Thomas Bailey said. Bailey is a junior at UK and it President of the Esports club. He says the new facility makes UK a step above other universities, especially considering the size of UK.
