University of Kentucky Information Technology Services (UK ITS) will launch a new podcast—TechKnow—on September 4, 2024. With a goal of informing the University of Kentucky community of the latest cyber threats, tech trends and ITS news by sharing ITS employees’ expertise, TechKnow will be available bi-monthly on Spotify.

UK ITS students and staff help remedy global outage at hospitals, clinics

It was all hands-on deck at UK HealthCare facilities as the massive CrowdStrike incident crippled computer systems globally on Friday, July 19. To fix the issues caused by the program, computers need to be manually restarted and then updated with code. The job brought together IT employees from across the university. That included student employees throughout University of Kentucky Information Technology Services (UK ITS) who responded quickly and helped UK HealthCare resume routine care.
