TechKnow Episode 7: A chat with Chief Digital and Information Officer for UK Healthcare Katie Dickens

On episode 7 of TechKnow, University of Kentucky Information Technology Services (UK ITS) sat down with Katie Dickens, chief digital and information officer for UK Healthcare.

Dickens thought she would stay in her previous role for her entire career, but that changed when she accepted her position with UK.

“I'm new to Kentucky, brand new — I  didn't know a soul when I came down here,” Dickens said.  “I’m originally from Michigan, so born and raised there and spent a long time in my career working at one organization. So, this was a really big move for me personally and professionally.”

Dickens also discusses the electronic health record, Project Blue Connect and her role model.
