Whether you are helping your student get connected or need a little tech help yourself, here are some useful tech tips for parents of University of Kentucky students.
How to access your student’s account
You cannot automatically view your student's account, but your student can grant you Guest Access through myUK portal. How to Get Guest Access
Note: Guest Access is limited to tuition payments. For more details, call Student Account Services at 859-257-3406 or email studentaccts@lsv.uky.edu.
Connecting to UK-Guest Wi-Fi
Visiting campus? You can get online easily using UK-Guest Wi-Fi.
- Go to Wi-Fi settings.
- Select UK-Guest.
- If it's your first time, choose “I Don’t Have a Guest Account.”
- Enter your info and agree to the Acceptable Use Policy.
How to get tech help at UK
Need assistance? UK Information Technology Services (UK-ITS) has you covered.

- Chat online at techhelpcenter.uky.edu.
- Schedule a 1:1 virtual appointment via the schedule appointment tool.
