Describe what you do at ITS in one sentence.

I assist with strategic leadership, providing guidance and support for long-term goals while also managing the HealthCare IT VMO department and overseeing staff administrative processes.

Name something about the work you or your team does that you are most proud of.

One thing I’m most proud of is how my team and I focus on delivering high-impact results while staying aligned with the organization’s long-term strategic goals. We work collaboratively to ensure that the services we provide not only meet the immediate needs but also help drive forward the larger vision for the future of HealthCare IT. This balance between day-to-day efficiency and the strategic alignment is what makes our work so fulfilling, especially as we support the complex, evolving needs of healthcare. Seeing our efforts contribute to that bigger picture is something that brings me a lot of pride.

What is something you enjoy doing outside of work?

Needlepointing. I have made numerous themed belts, sports, fishing, SEC schools, for family and friends. My three boys each have a handmade Christmas stocking made with love from Mom!

Best advice you ever received?

As I shifted to a leadership role from daily operations…Strategic leadership is about steering the organization with a focus on long-term goals and ensuring that everyone is aligned with the vision. Patience, influence, and alignment will be key as you transitions away from daily tasks and concentrate on shaping the future.
