Adobe has released security updates to address vulnerabilities in multiple products. An attacker could exploit some of these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected system. Microsoft Releases August 2022 Security Updates

Microsoft has released updates to address multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft software. An attacker can exploit some of these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected system. CISA encourages users and administrators to review Microsoft’s August 2022 Security Update Guide and Deployment Information and apply the necessary updates.

Google Releases Security Update for Chrome

Google has released Chrome version 103.0.5060.114 for Windows. OpenSSL Releases Security Update

OpenSSL has released a security update to address a vulnerability affecting OpenSSL 3.0.4. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to take control of an affected system.  CISA encourages users and administrators to review the OpenSSL advisory and upgrade to the appropriate version. Apple Releases Security Updates

Apple has released security updates to address vulnerabilities—CVE-2022-22674 and CVE-2022-22675—in multiple products. An attacker could exploit one of these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected device. These vulnerabilities have been detected in exploits in the wild. Drupal Releases Security Updates

Drupal has released security updates to address a vulnerability affecting Drupal 9.2 and 9.3. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to take control of an affected system. CISA encourages users and administrators to review Drupal Security Advisory SA-CORE-006 and apply the necessary update.

Reminder on Appropriate Use of Technology Resources at UK

UK Information Technology Services (ITS) would like to remind UK students, faculty, and staff of Administrative Regulation 10:1 (AR 10:1) regarding use of technology resources. This regulation outlines specific rules that we all must follow when using technology resources provided by or through the University, as well as external technology resources to which the University enables or facilitates access. Compliance with AR 10:1 ensures a secure environment where data is protected, and legal regulations are followed.
