Job Description:
Marketing Brand Ambassadors will work to raise awareness, facilitate feedback sessions, and increase adoption of technology resources at UK among students. ITS Brand Ambassadors will be onboarded and trained on the ITS organization and core student-facing products and services with which they will be tasked with shepherding.
ITS Marketing Brand Ambassador positions are unpaid and for course credit. Students interested can expect to gain experience in marketing, event planning, branding, communications, market research, public speaking, social media, writing, and more with a focus on technology. Students that apply will be expected to take goals and objectives defined by ITS and in turn develop and execute their plans to meet them. Course will end in a final presentation to ITS stakeholders on summary of initiatives and their effectiveness towards set objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate student feedback via focus groups or informal in-person interviews, report back findings
- Represent ITS at events on campus
- Generate brand awareness through word-of-mouth marketing
- Increase student engagement with ITS
- Create marketing assets to execute marketing objectives (e.g., social media videos / posts, promotional print materials)
- Promote ITS via personal platforms where appropriate (e.g., social media accounts, student organizations, classes)
To obtain course credit, students may coordinate with their respective college or receive credit through EXP 396.
