What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

We provide SAP Business Workflow and Enterprise Content Management solutions to the University enterprise.  Our workflow solutions automate manual processes and streamline business processes into repeatable and auditable steps to quickly and efficiently get the necessary data and information in front of the appropriate customer to make their decisions.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

Because SAP spans the University enterprise, we get to work with a wide variety of campus colleges and units.  Many of our projects are related to the Human Resources and Finance modules in SAP which, because of their strict business rules, make excellent candidates for workflow automation.  My most recent project involved working closely with the Office of the Treasurer, Payroll Services, Human Resources, and was piloted with the College of Arts & Sciences and the College of Agriculture, Food & Environment.

What are your workplace values?

My primary workplace value is that I want to make a difference at the University of Kentucky.  Through my job and my efforts, I not only want to help the University run more efficiently, but I want to make it better a place for employees to work and students to further their education.  I also am I firm believer in teamwork and transparency and that together there is no problem that ITS and the University cannot solve.

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

My favorite aspect of working in ITS and at the University is their ever-changing nature.  Every project we work on involves different challenges, groups of people, and departments around campus.  The technology we use and have at our disposal is constantly changing and evolving.  We get to use these new tools, software and solutions to solve new (and sometimes old) problems.
