Service Area: Vendor Management

What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

We offer contract management, vendor performance management, risk management, and vendor relationship management of Information Technology Services (ITS) vendors.  We also manage and operate the Service Center Warehouse and Inventory.  Some of the vendors we work with include Dell, Cisco, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and Google.  

I focus on contracts, agreements, and services that need to be renewed and provide support to ITS staff in obtaining quotes, resolving vendor issues, reviewing/negotiating contracts and agreements.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

We primarily work with UK’s Central Purchasing Division and the Office of Legal Counsel.

What are your workplace values?

We take pride in ensuring strict alignment to the University and the state of Kentucky procurement regulations. I always seek to obtain the “best overall value” for the University. I strive to be a trusted advisor for procurement and vendor issues to ITS and other UK departments.

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

I enjoy my co-workers in ITS. They are remarkably competent and genuinely enjoyable to work with.
