Describe what you do at ITS in one sentence.

I work to solve technical problems and inefficiencies in order to keep the University running as smoothly as possible.

Name something about the work you or your team does that you are most proud of.

I am incredibly proud of my team for our work with the Smart Campus iPad initiative – it’s very humbling to be a part of such an amazing experience! I’m grateful to have the opportunity to make a difference for our students here at UK.

What is something you enjoy doing outside of work?

I admittedly have way too many hobbies, but my favorite one is making music. When I’m not working, you can usually find me playing guitar or singing!

Best advice you ever received?

The best advice I ever received is: “Stay afraid, but do it anyway.” – Carrie Fisher

It goes without saying that working in technology presents its own set of challenges – we frequently encounter new territory, and facing the unknown can certainly be scary. However, I’ve learned that there is no “magic formula” when it comes to being confident in your decisions – whatever you are afraid of, just do it. Taking action even when you’re scared is far better than doing nothing and wondering “what if.” Confidence comes from these moments.
