What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

We provide over 150 services to the main campus and HealthCare. Some of the core services we provide are Active Directory, email, Office 365, Skype for Business, and SharePoint. Active Directory is a database that provides all users with linkblue ID’s access to the University of Kentucky’s resources. This may include authentication to a computer, server, application, website, or printer. This system is also responsible for assigning and enforcing security policies for all users and computers as well as installing or updating software. Additionally, Active Directory is leveraged to detect anomalies with your account so that proper security actions can be implemented.  

 

I’m heavily involved with the current Office 365 migration. We’re migrating mailboxes from the UK Data Center to Office 365, and we’ve been working on this for close to a year, and more information can be found here.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

We work with all of the colleges as well as HealthCare since everyone is utilizing our core services.

What are your workplace values?

I enjoy collaborating with some of the smartest people in the state while being able to leverage and implement cutting-edge technologies.
