Service Area: Analytics

What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

My team within Analytics is Finance and Administration. We provide reporting solutions and support for both financial users and various administrative groups throughout the University. Our reporting efforts provide data, which serves to inform administration for better decision-making. By using Tableau, we collaborate with our users to develop reports that help them meet their business needs. We also create data models in Tableau that allows many of our users to develop their own reports.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

Our team works with a variety of customers as we support both Finance and Administration throughout our campus. On the finance side, we work a great deal with Student Account Services as well as the University Budget Office. On the Administrative side of our support is Travel Services, UK Housing, Facilities Management, and Central Purchasing Division among others.

What are your workplace values?

I always strive to have a positive attitude while giving excellent service to both our business users as well as members of our team. My desire is that all those I interact with receive service in a professional and timely manner.

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

I love my team! I work with some very intelligent and talented people who are always willing to share and be helpful. I also enjoy working with our student intern program. We have such good students who provide great work for our team. Seeing them grow to be an effective team member that also allows them good opportunities upon graduation makes me very happy.
