What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

I am a Senior Developer with the Human Resource Team in the Enterprise Applications Group. We configure, administrate, and troubleshoot the Human Resource sections of SAP. This includes benefits, payroll, training, and time management. I am also involved in the Identity Management Team. This team is working to create an identity management system for the University of Kentucky. This system would include functionality for user role management and overall identity management for the university.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

In some way or fashion, the HR Team and IDM Team touch all units across the university. Over the twenty years I have been at UK, I have had many opportunities to work with several units across campus. I always enjoy getting to know new people and working together to complete projects.

What are your workplace values?

I believe in a strong work ethic to see my tasks to completion. I also believe in team work. No one knows everything nor is someone an expert in all areas. A strong team that compliments each other is a great asset to complete projects.

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

I love problem solving. The phrase “it cannot be done”, is the phrase that drives me to make it happen. There are always challenges here at UK and I love being part of the solution.
