2024 UK HealthCare IT Annual Awards honor employee excellence, dedication and team work
Each year, UK HealthCare IT honors the contributions of its colleagues who work to improve patient safety, make UK HealthCare an outstanding place to work and enhance the customer and patient experience.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of UK HealthCare’s Annual IT Awards, supported by University of Kentucky Information Technology Services (UK ITS). Over 65 colleagues were nominated for four prestigious awards, which recognize those who embody the qualities of a Team Player, a 6th Man, a Servant Leader and a Motivator.
Team Player Award
Edward Issacs—Field Service Engineer II
Edward Issacs is this year’s Team Player Award recipient. He’s recognized for his ability to share team responsibilities, and his colleagues consider him to be straightforward, kind to others and fair to everyone. Among these qualities, Issacs is also known as an excellent communicator and is also dependable, reliable, committed and a true collaborator. As this year’s recipient, Issacs embodies what it means to be a team player, is respected by all and communicates well.
Motivator Award
Stephanie Saddington—Field Service Technician
The Motivator Award is given to someone who is inspirational and enthusiastic, exemplifies kindness, generosity, and trustworthiness and is attentive. This year’s winner is Stephanie Saddington. Recognized for her excellent customer service, Saddington leaves a great impression on everyone she meets and mentors, including interns and new employees, setting them up for success. Saddington is a role model, uplifts her colleagues and is welcoming.
Sixth Man Award
Abigail Mullins—EHR Analyst Lead
This award honors a colleague who is flexible, reliable, and consistently delivers under pressure. Abigail Mullins is one of this year’s Sixth Man Award recipients, recognized for her unwavering support, dedication to developing new team leads and active participation in various councils to ensure effective change management.
Nick Humphrey—IT Project Manager
Another of our esteemed Sixth Man Award recipients is a colleague who embodies flexibility and reliability. Nick Humphrey seamlessly handles tasks with minimal supervision, consistently delivers timely and thorough documentation, maintains a positive outlook and earns the respect of everyone around him.
Servant Leader Award
Britt Wallace—Application Manager
The Servant Leader Award honors an individual who exemplifies respect, grace and empathy, always prioritizing the needs of others and fostering their growth and development. This year’s recipient, Britt Wallace, is accountable, demonstrates deep integrity and is an inspiring communicator who values openness and transparency. Wallace consistently encourages positivity, uplifts the team and goes above and beyond to ensure collective success. By leading by example, maintaining a balanced workload, and being a diligent communicator, Wallace truly embodies the spirit of servant leadership.
