What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

I’m part of the Enterprise Storage team, and we provide several services to campus such as network-based storage which colleges and departments can use to store documents and other files.  Additionally, we provide backup services to campus and a few remote locations.  I also work with the BASIS team by configuring and managing a fleet of SuSE Linux virtual machines which runs the UK SAP system, and other duties as assigned. 

What campus units do you collaborate with?

Because of the nature of the service we provide, we interact with several parts of the campus community, such as UKPD, and Athletics. 

What are your workplace values?

I try to provide the best service I can to the campus community.  I’m also focused on working with the other members of our team to help them whenever questions or issues occur.   

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

I’m not sure I can list just one part.  As a previous student, I love being back on campus and seeing how it has changed, and stayed the same, over the years.  I also really appreciate the fact that our management staff acknowledges the work our team does.
