What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

Facilities Information Services provides many services to campus, from mapping to desktop support. The focus of the Geospatial Team is to maintain the official UK Campus Map, design custom maps (GIS – analytical), develop and maintain floor plans (CAD, GIS), produce landscape designs (LandFX), manage the Facilities Library (eFacTS), and deploy many custom solutions for university-wide customers.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

Because of the nature of our services, our area collaborates with pretty much every aspect of the university and community at large. We directly support Facilities, and have ongoing projects with: UKPD, UKPR, UK Transportation Services, Auxiliary Services, Environmental Health and Safety, UK Health Care, Real Estate Services, EVPFA, CNS, LFUCG, and visitors.

I like being part of a supportive and ethical team where our work and efforts are valued. I also enjoy the dynamic environment where each day is unique.
