Service Area: Core Applications

What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

The Finance team within Core Applications supports the financial postings and financial statement creation for the University. We develop and support programs and processes including but not limited to vendor payments, endowments, Procard, interface feeds, Cash Transmittals, Travel, grants, FES, FDB, Ecrt.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

We work very closely with the University Financial Administration and Purchasing. Many of our programs touch a lot of people across campus and assist them in completing their daily responsibilities such as the travel program and the cash transmittal process.

What are your workplace values?

I value providing the best customer service we can possible. I want to reach beyond the task assigned to give people more then what they expect to receive. 

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

The people. Everyone is always very professional and willing to work to achieve a common goal or to help people resolve an issue. I’ve been with the University for almost 32 years, and in my time here, I’ve worked with some very smart and competent people who work hard to do the best they can for their teammates and for the University. We take great pride in what we do and it shows every day.
