What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

We offer storage, backups, recovery, virtualization, servers, disaster recovery, various public clouds, etc. From our customer’s perspective, we do behind-the-scenes services that enable and protect their work (ex. myUK, Virtual Den, Data Protection, Storage Services, www.uky.edu). 

What campus units do you collaborate with?

We work most with the Enterprise Applications team in ITS, but we do considerable work with Research Computing, Libraries, various Academic Colleges, Campus Police, Athletics, Security, Networking, and numerous other support services within UK.

What are your workplace values?

I want to provide outstanding service to our community while taking care of our staff. I try to offer a solution alongside any issue I bring up when possible as well as considering the larger, long term impacts of choices, i.e. don’t design a solution without thinking about how it fits into ITS at UK as a whole.

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

I love the challenge, being at Kentucky’s Flagship University means you never know what to expect next as an IT need. I love working with my team, they are an extraordinary group of talented people - UK is privileged to have them.
