ITS Division: Enterprise Applications

Service Area: Product Development & Integration

What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

We are passionate about building research-driven software solutions which aim to remove process and administrative-type hassles. This way, customers can focus on the things they care about the most when working with our core enterprise systems, such as SAP. That then translates to building mobile and web applications on the front end for students, faculty, and staff.

Behind the scenes, we also weave together disparate systems for efficient transfer and integration of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data to keep critical systems operational. We also lead the day to day operations of our service management platform, ServiceNow.

My background is in software engineering. We are a team of software engineers and designers who believe in collaborative decisions and delivering the best experience to our customers.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

We collaborate with Enrollment Management, Academic Excellence and Advising, the Controller and Treasurer’s Offices, Student Government, and many others.

What are your workplace values?

Humor is a key ingredient for me because we work in critical systems, but it’s important to maintain a sense of humor and know that we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously. Reliability and accountability as well.

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

I’ve been with UK for 10 years. I love working with the really smart, thoughtful people here—both on my team, and other colleagues. I think that UK is a very open and welcoming community, and as a professional it’s easy to establish solid relationships with peers as well as stakeholders. It’s been fulfilling to work here professionally, and most of all I appreciate the parties organized by the social committee.
