What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

We offer all of the voice over IP—for any Cisco phone, we do everything for it. This involves all voice communications inside of UK, as well as communications to the public telephone network. We cover the main campus as well as HealthCare. We also provide all of the contact center resources for UK. For example, when a customer calls HealthCare to schedule an appointment, we run the system that provides interactive voice responses, as well as the agent on the other side who answers the phone.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

We help all campus units who need voice services. HealthCare is a major stakeholder for us, but we also help all of the individual colleges. If they have phones at their desks, they come to us.

What are your workplace values?

Hard work. Discipline. Saying yes to people and never saying "that's not my job."

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

I like working with the smartest people in Kentucky, and I enjoy being part of something special.
