UK Libraries, Media Depot Host First Ever 48 Hour Student Film Race

On March 24, the University of Kentucky Libraries, Media Depot and Smart Campus Initiative will kick off the first ever campus-wide “48 Hour Film Race,” an exciting opportunity for students to make a movie – write, shoot, and edit – in just 48 hours. Students from all academic disciplines are encouraged to participate.

Student Media Depot Adds Portrait Room

The Student Media Depot @ The Hub is a student digital media space located in the Hub at William T. Young Library. The Media Depot provides; access to recording equipment and space, editing stations with specialized multimedia software, and technical support for students’ development of their academic media projects.

ITS Recognizes Employee Years of Service and Customer Excellence Awards

University of Kentucky Information Technology Services has recognized employees who celebrated milestone years of service during the year 2022. These 37 employees, ranging from eight different ITS divisions, combined for a total of 670 years of service at UK. ITS also honored student workers who have worked with ITS for two or more semesters.

UKY Student Film Festival call for submissions

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 3, 2023) —The University of Kentucky Student Film Festival is returning Friday, April 28. The event, which starts at 7 p.m. in the Gatton Student Center Worsham Theater, is free and open to the public.
