What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

We are responsible for the business operations of ITS. This includes procurement, monitoring budgets, financial analysis, working with project management, and billing needs. Many of our services make an impact on the whole campus. For example, when students and employees download software, those software licenses are managed by our ITS division.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

At any given time, we touch base with everyone. We work closely with UK’s Accounting & Financial Reporting division. They are the umbrella for all campus accounting. Our departmental accounting is just a small portion of the overall campus accounting.  We also regularly collaborate with the UK Purchasing Division for procurement processes.  

What are your workplace values?

Kindness and valuing all people. I also think it’s important to be lighthearted and fun in the workplace, when appropriate of course. Laughter is the best medicine. 

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

My background is in accounting, and I enjoy working with numbers. Financial data, in a sense, gives us a picture of what is happening within our department, such as new equipment purchases, expanding technology, and more. I’m fairly new to the UK community, but having worked in higher education over the past 10 years, I still just enjoy being part of the University community and getting to know new colleagues.
