The Enterprise Skills Initiative (ESI), as part of a partnership with Microsoft, is offering the Microsoft Learn Cloud Games, a fun new learning environment where you can collaborate with other technical professionals to role-play your way through real-world tech problems in a fun, risk-free, simulated environment.

All UK students, faculty, and staff can make an account in the ESI Learner Experience Portal (LxP) for free using their linkblue credentials. Visit https://esi.microsoft.com/ to create your account.

In the first game, Who Hacked?, you gather clues and evidence to investigate, remediate, and protect against cybersecurity incidents at the fictitious Best for You Organics (BFYO), one of the largest organic produce e-retailers in the nation. For a preview, check out the Who Hacked? trailer video.

In the game’s “Keeping up Appearances” episode, the Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) of BFYO receives a ransomware demand. To remediate the threat, you choose from three IT specialist roles at BFYO—cybersecurity, compliance, or identity. Your job is to find out who the culprit is as soon as possible and to protect BFYO’s customer data.

For the first Who Hacked? episode, look for the new tile on the LxP home page called Microsoft Learn Cloud Games. And the ESI program will release more episodes soon, like “In the Cross Hairs,” which deals with suspicious web shell activities.

This new ESI opportunity adds to your technical skills, knowledge, and experience, as you implement solutions in this fun, hands-on, multiplayer learning game. Note: If you are unable to see available times for Microsoft Learn Cloud Games, change the filtered role to either Business Owner, Business Users, Fundamental Skills, Technology Educator, or Technology Manager.

More about Microsoft ESI

Microsoft ESI offers free training, certification prep, and certification exams for Azure. Microsoft Azure, or Azure, is Microsoft's public cloud computing platform. For more information about ESI and instructions on how to log in, visit How can I receive free training and exams on Azure technologies? in the Tech Help Center

This offer could go away without your participation. Help ITS meet our goal of 200 training sessions attended and 50 certifications completed by June 30.
