What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

I work within the Geospatial Group of Facilities Information Services. Our group focuses on Geographic Information System mapping products, floor plan enterprise, facilities library/archives, and landscape design. My job responsibilities as a Technical Project Specialist I include project management of printable maps and web mapping solutions, process development and improvements, quality control, and various office support functions.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

My department works with Facilities Management and other units to maintain accurate datasets. We also work closely with the Facilities Information Services Programming Team to help implement our project designs and automate processes. We provide products and services to several UK units including Facilities Management, HealthCare, Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration, Transportation Services, Auxiliary Services, and Campus Services.

What are your workplace values?

I value continuous improvement, I appreciate that I work with a group of individuals that always push you to be better and ask “why?”

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

I love working in a place that is supportive of personal and professional growth, and provides plenty of training and educational opportunities. This enables me to grow and stay informed of new technologies and processes to better serve our clients.
