Service Area: Enterprise Content Management and Workflow Services

What services do you and your teammates provide to campus?

My team and I implement and support enterprise solutions that use workflow and/or content management.  Workflow sequences the tasks of a process into orchestrated, repeatable, and auditable patterns.  Enterprise content management organizes, preserves, and delivers content related to process or for archival purposes.  These two services can be used independently but are often used together to meet the needs of our customers.

What campus units do you collaborate with?

One of the great things about these services is that they are used throughout SAP, the University’s enterprise resource planning system, which allows us to work with all of the business units. Primarily, though, we work with HR & Academic Enhancement on employee and student documents.

What are your workplace values?

Two of my workplace values are embracing challenge and being positive. I want to be involved in ambitious projects and feel that the time and energy I devote to UK makes a difference. Also, I always try to take a positive approach to obstacles and recognize what we can accomplish instead of focusing on what we cannot control.

What is your favorite part of working in ITS and UK?

I like that the work is always challenging since both higher education and the technology that accompanies it are constantly evolving.
