In a conversation with UKNow, University of Kentucky Information Technology Services Associate Chief Information Officer and Enterprise Chief Technology Officer, Adam Recktenwald, predicts that artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) will be major technology trends in 2024. He expects AI to be more involved in decision-making processes and believes that AI will have a significant impact on the healthcare industry, helping doctors in diagnosing and treating patients. Additionally, Recktenwald foresees VR being used for collaborative work and improving human connections. Although these technologies will be vital in 2024, Recktenwald says discussing the ethical and practical aspects of these technologies is also important.
