Google has released Chrome version 99.0.4844.51 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. This version addresses vulnerabilities that an attacker could exploit to take control of an affected system. CISA encourages users and administrators to review the Chrome Release Note and apply the necessary updates.

Give Important Feedback on Technology at UK

Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking student, faculty, and staff participation in online focus groups and surveys in order to provide feedback on technology resources at UK. Feedback from these focus groups and surveys will be considered as ITS prepares the next IT Strategic Plan. Focus groups will be conducted online via Zoom and grouped into students, faculty, or staff. Participants are encouraged to sign up for a time slot that works for their schedule.

Drupal Releases Security Updates

Drupal has released security updates to address vulnerabilities affecting Drupal 7, 9.2, and 9.3. An attacker could exploit one of these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected system. CISA encourages users and administrators to review Drupal security advisories SA-CORE-2022-003 and SA-CORE-2022-004 and apply the necessary updates.

Single Sign On Implementation for UK Google Accounts

Starting Wednesday, April 6, all UK Google Workspace accounts (@g.uky.edu) will be accessed using Single Sign On and Two-Factor Log-In. This change will further enhance cybersecurity at UK and make the Google Workspace log in experience for Google products (e.g., Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs) consistent with other UK technology resources.

ITS Receives Two Communication Awards

Information Technology Services (ITS) has won two “Best of Category” Awards in the 2021-22 Communication Awards from the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services (SIGUCCS). Awards were earned in “Computing Services Website” and “Student Created Materials”. 

Azure Training & Certifications Through Microsoft ESI

Information Technology Services (ITS), in partnership with Microsoft, is offering 50% off training, certification prep, and certification exams for Azure through the Microsoft Enterprise Skills Initiative (ESI). ESI is available to all UK students, faculty, and staff with linkblue credentials. Microsoft Azure, or Azure, is Microsoft's public cloud computing platform.
