UK Information Technology Services (UK ITS) will be implementing changes to the device enrollment screen for multi-factor authentication (MFA) with Duo.  

On Tuesday, June 25, UK ITS will enhance the MFA enrollment screen in the new account setup wizard and Account Manager (ukam.uky.edu) to highlight enrolling a new device with the Duo mobile app. The updated design will streamline the enrollment process, guiding new and current students and employees towards the most secure authentication method.

Why make this change? 
 

This update aligns with cybersecurity best practices by making other MFA methods (e.g., text) less prominent, thereby encouraging the use of the more secure Duo mobile app for MFA. This improvement is part of our ongoing commitment to protect our community with advanced security measures.
