Update on CrowdStrike outage
We continue to restore operations to systems across the University of Kentucky, including UK HealthCare, experiencing issues due to the global CrowdStrike outage.
As we navigate the outage, please note that CrowdStrike will not reach out to UK community members to troubleshoot. Please be suspicious of any calls or emails appearing to come from CrowdStrike, as these may be bad actors. For more information on how to detect and report spam emails or phishing attacks, see How do I report spam and phishing emails?
ITS teams have been working closely with campus IT staff and UK HealthCare patient care teams to restore servers and workstations throughout the enterprise, placing a priority on the needs of our most critical and complex patients.
Current impact:
Issues with several systems across the university and UK HealthCare have been resolved. However, Microsoft Windows desktops and servers continue to be impacted, causing some UK Windows computers to display a blue error screen instead of starting properly.
Technical support:
UK HealthCare employees can find support information and updates posted to this page on The Loop.
Campus employees, including remote employees, can find support information, including how to troubleshoot their computers, and updates at its.uky.edu/outage.
Our teams are working as quickly as possible to minimize the impact and resolve disruptions.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and patience.
