Global esports organization Gen.G and the University of Kentucky today announced the latest iteration of their partnership CatCon, a regional conference hosted at UK. The two-day festival will bring together students and administrators in the area, solidifying UK’s status as one of the premier esports universities and destinations in the region.

UK x Gen.G to host 3-day esports winter camp for middle school students

The University of Kentucky, in collaboration with Gen.G, will host a three-day winter camp for middle school students starting Monday, Dec. 19, held at The Cornerstone on UK's campus.  Learning objectives are soft skill development, social skill development and career exploration.  Students will have the opportunity to build relationships and network with young gamers, participate in tournaments, tour UK’s campus and sit in on panel discussions and Q&As with professionals in the industry.

UK x Gen.G kicks off esports program with event for middle and high school students

Via UKNOW   LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 4, 2022) — The University of Kentucky, in collaboration with Gen.G Esports, will be hosting a free community event for middle and high school students to kick off a new esports program on campus. The event will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 (Election Day), at The Cornerstone. Early drop off and late pick up will be available to those who may need scheduling accommodations. Lunch will also be provided for the students who attend.

New feature in myUK GPS helps students progress more efficiently toward their degree

With fall priority registration underway, University of Kentucky students can begin utilizing a new feature in myUK GPS (Graduation Planning System) to help them keep track of their progress in their path toward a degree. Students can now see a percentage indicating the total progress they’ve made toward their degree requirements.
